Reading is seriously one of my favorite things to do! Not only do I find it relaxing and stress-relieving, I learn SO much from the books I read. With a few exceptions, I primarily read Christian books, whether they are fiction or nonfiction. This helps me to focus on Jesus and His truths! So today I wanted to share more than 6 books every Christian girl should read!
Oh, and if you’re looking for more books on singleness and Christian relationships, you can read my blog post “5 Books Every Christian Single Girl Should Read.”

Books Every Christian Girl Should Read
Girl Defined by Kristen Clark & Bethany Baird
This book, you guys. It is SO full of wisdom. In my post “5 Books Every Christian Single Girl Should Read“, I listed another book from the same authors, Love Defined. Girl Defined was written before Love Defined, and I feel like it is a handbook for how a Christian girl should live. Of course, the Bible is our ultimate handbook!
I feel like if I could recommend only one book from this list, Girl Defined would be it! It is full of practical advice, helpful stories, and truth from God’s Word. A must-read for sure!
Spoken For by Robin Jones Gunn & Alyssa Joy Bethke
Two of my favorite authors collaborated on this book, so how could I not love it? Robin Jones Gunn and Alyssa Joy Bethke both share stories from their life, which is one of my favorite things to read in a Christian book!
Through their own stories, they tell the story of how we are Spoken For, because of God. We belong in His family. It’s all about “Embracing Who You Are and Whose You Are.” I think that we as Christian girls all need that reminder!
I love what they say in the description of the book: “You are not up for grabs. You are spoken for.” So awesome!
Wild & Free by Jess Connolly & Hayley Morgan
I think this is my favorite book! At least it is at the very top of my list. When I was only like 3 chapters in, I felt that it had already changed my life. Jess Connolly and Hayley Morgan really write like friends that you are meeting up for coffee.
Wild & Free is “A Hope-Filled Anthem for the Woman Who Feels She is Both Too Much and Never Enough.” Amazing, right? I know that I’ve felt like I just wasn’t enough before, but also like I was too much.
I feel like this whole book is full of so much truth. You know those moments where you are reading something and you have to stop and think because it was just so good? There were like a hundred moments like that in this book. Please read this book!!
Christy Miller Series by Robin Jones Gunn
I read this series when I was 15 or 16 and it has remained one of my favorite series to date. I still look forward to the new releases and devour them in a few days!
Really, anything by Robin Jones Gunn is amazing, but this is my favorite series. It starts out with the original series when Christy is a teenager, and then there are the college years, married years, and the baby years.
Robin mixes so much wisdom and truth into this fun series! The characters honestly become so real the longer you read about them.
I just can’t recommend the Christy Miller series enough for Christian fiction!
Perfectly Unique by Annie F. Downs
Annie Downs is another one of my favorite authors! She is so down to earth, and her stories literally make me laugh out loud (kind of embarrassing when you’re in a group of people, haha!).
Every Christian girl should read Perfectly Unique! I read this book for the first time in middle school youth group, and it was amazing.
I think that we all have things that we don’t like about ourselves or our bodies, but this book helps to remind us that we are, as the title says, perfectly unique. God made us exactly how He wanted to. We are so beautiful to Him!
This book literally tells how we as Christian girls can glorify God from head to foot, using the body God has given us.
Such a good read for Christian girls!
The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom
I had to include this book! Corrie ten Boom is one of my favorite people that ever lived. In case you’ve never heard of her, I’ll give you a little rundown (contain spoilers!!).
Corrie ten Boom lived in Holland when World War II broke out. She was just a normal, Christian, unmarried woman living with her dad, who was a watchmaker, and her sister. When Jews began to be targeted during the war, Corrie and her family began hiding Jews. While the Jews were never found by the Germans, Corrie and her family were taken to concentration camps and tortured. They were able to make a huge difference in other’ lives and share the Gospel, but Corrie was the only one who made it out alive.
This book follows their story and includes so many amazing details! It is so inspiring to see them follow God’s plan even when it could have (and did) cost them their lives. I feel like everybody should read this autobiography!
I hope that you found a new book to read! These seriously are such good books, and I hope that you can read them all!
