It’s hard to believe that summer is over. At least in the ‘no school’ aspect of the word. It truly was a wonderful summer; one for the books! I’m ready to crush my senior year of high school, but first I want to reflect on all that I did this summer. Ready? Let’s go!
Beach Trip
My summer started off by going to the beach with my family! It was filled with lots of laughs, reading, ice cream, and Chickfila (why do I find myself eating there on my days off?). But seriously, it was so much fun. I read Love Finds You in Folly Beach, South Carolina by Loree Lough while I was there, and it was so good!
Hanging Out With Friends & Family
I think the best part of my summer was just spending time with my family and friends. They seriously are the best and I don’t know what I’d do without them. On the left is a picture of my friend Brianna and I when we went out for Mexican and shopping. On the right is a picture of my sister Jessica and I when we went blueberry picking. We were trying to see how purple our tongues were, but as you can tell, they weren’t very purple haha!
Juice Life & Koco Java
We tried out two new local shops this summer! The first one is Juice Life, and let me tell you, their juice, java, and smoothies are incredible. They’re naturally sweetened and they taste amazing! Oh and my sister just started working there!
The next place is Koco Java! It’s a cute little coffee shop and their coffee is awesome!
Blueberry Picking
As I mentioned earlier, we went blueberry picking and it was so much fun! I had never been before, but I had a blast!
Mountains Trip
We kinda ended the summer with an overnight trip to the mountains. We hiked, ate, and went white water rafting. It was so much fun! Oh, and if you were wondering, my shirt is from The Daily Grace Co. and is on sale!
Launching My Blog
I spent a good portion of my summer working on this blog, and I am so happy with how it turned out! I love having my own domain name, and now I can customize it almost as much as I want to. I haven’t “officially launched” it on Instagram, but I have been posting on it. Soon!
Buying My Camera
I decided to work an extra day every week this summer so that I could buy a camera! I wanted to be able to take better pictures for my blog and Instagram. If it interests you, I bought a Canon EOS Rebel T6, and I love it! I am so excited about the pictures I’ll take with it. The night before school started, we went to a local park and took some pictures. I’ll be sharing them soon! You can catch a sneak peak on my About Me page, and the first picture in this post is one I took.
What did you do this summer?? What was your favorite part? I’d love to hear about it!
Until next time,
