And Baby Lewis is a… And Baby Lewis is a…
I haven’t shared much recently for 2 reasons: I I haven’t shared much recently for 2 reasons: I haven’t felt good and I was scared that anything I said would come across as complaining.

The truth is, the past few months have been rough. Dealing with nausea and “morning” sickness has taken a toll on me, and while I’m hoping I’m starting to turn a corner, it’s not gone.

But I am SO thankful for this baby and know that all of this will be worth it. It’s just honestly been hard to keep that mindset when in the moment, I just feel so sick.

I’m so grateful that Jesus is patient, kind, and near during all seasons, especially in difficult seasons. Even when I feel like I’m not doing my part or spending enough time with Him, He still loves me.

And I’m grateful for a husband that loves me so well and has served me above and beyond. Not sure I could do it without him.

Anyways, I guess that’s a little life update. I hope you all are enjoying this spring weather!
Baby Lewis due in October! 🥳🤍 We are so exc Baby Lewis due in October! 🥳🤍

We are so excited and know this baby is being created for such a time as this.

Happy Easter from the Lewis family! 🪴
Run your race, not hers. I was listening to a ser Run your race, not hers.

I was listening to a sermon the other day that was talking about comparison, and it brought up Hebrews 12:1-2. We are to run the race set before us with endurance, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus.

It doesn’t say anything about running anybody else’s race, does it? It tells you to run your race. We can’t do that if we keep looking to the right and to the left or behind us.

Speaking of behind us, remember when Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him 3 times in John 21? Jesus was making sure Peter understood the weight of what it meant to tend His sheep. Jesus even mentioned how Peter would die for the sake of the Gospel. Obviously overwhelmed, Peter looked behind him and asked, “What about John?”

Peter was comparing the calling that Jesus had placed on his life with that of John’s. But Jesus basically said that it didn’t matter what He had planned for John’s life. Peter was to follow Jesus no matter what.

We aren’t supposed to be looking around and comparing our lives and callings with others’. Instead, we are to run OUR race, with our eyes set on Jesus. That is how we will impact our world and bring glory to Jesus 🤍
Part 6: Us 🤍 The final part of this little wed Part 6: Us 🤍

The final part of this little wedding series. It’s been so fun to share snippets from our wedding day with you guys! These are my favorite pictures of just us and ones I will cherish forever 🥰
Part 5: Bridal Pictures 🤍 Just a few pictures Part 5: Bridal Pictures 🤍

Just a few pictures of me in my beautiful dress from @lacedwithgracebridal. So grateful for details likes this on our wedding day!
When I sing and read about God’s faithfulness, I When I sing and read about God’s faithfulness, I often think about who God was to me in the hard times, not necessarily what He did for me and gave me. Those things are important too, absolutely, but Jesus’ presence is truly enough because He Himself is enough.

The lessons I learned, the verses that He gave me. The people He spoke through, the little things that happened that were undeniably from Him. The inexplainable peace, the surrender in worship.

If you’re walking through something tough, I pray you will focus more on these things. I think that’s the whole reason that God allows us to go through those journeys - to grow us and shape us, to reveal Himself to us and grow us closer to Him.

So keep praying and hoping for that thing, but don’t forget to look for God in the midst of it all.
Part 4: The Bridal Party 🤍 We truly had the be Part 4: The Bridal Party 🤍

We truly had the best people standing beside us on our wedding day! They made us feel so special and loved. One of my bridesmaids was sick and couldn’t make it, so we missed her so much (@kyrstin.m.c 😉).

Also, how cute are our ring bearer and flower girl? 😍

Do I truly love Jason for who he is, or for how he Do I truly love Jason for who he is, or for how he helps me love myself better?

I read that in a book about a year ago (maybe The Sacred Search?) and it’s stuck with me. Of course, everybody would say that we love our people for who they are. But when you dig deep, what do you find?

Whenever I’m upset with him or frustrated in a situation or simply being impatient, I ask myself that question. Am I being selfish? Do I care about his well-being or just how he loves and serves me? Do I serve him to get something in return?

I hope I’m getting better at this, and I hope that you’ll check your heart as well and make sure you’re loving as Christ loves- selflessly.

Also, of course I love Jason 😂 Just questioning motives, especially in tough situations!
Just because something is from Jesus doesn’t mea Just because something is from Jesus doesn’t mean it won’t require work.

Just because Jesus blessed you with something or answered a prayer does not mean that it will be easy.

I could use sooo many different examples from my life right now, but let’s use this one:

Our home is such an answered prayer. We are so grateful for it, the price that we got it for, and how perfect it is for us.

But it has not been easy to fix it up. We’ve spent tons of time and money working on various project. In fact, we’re currently waiting on contractors to get back to us and give us quotes.

That doesn’t diminish the fact that the house is a blessing and a gift from God. God values hard work and teaches us so much through it. We get to reflect His faithfulness in working.

Just wanted to hop on here and share this reminder for anyone who needs it 💛
Today is 3 months from our wedding day, and this s Today is 3 months from our wedding day, and this season is one I want to be intentional with and remember well. Honestly, it hasn’t been the easiest season and I’m trying to do my best to seek God and His face continually.

Social media has always been a huge hurdle for me, and it’s no different in this season. I feel God asking me to take a step back from it, at least until next year. I’m excited and expectant to see what God does with this intentional time with Him!

I’ll still probably get on and post when I feel led, and may check messages here and there. But my little corner of the internet will be a lot more quiet until I become Mrs. Lewis 😉

Love you guys and I can’t wait to come back and share what God does in this season. I really will miss connecting with you all on a regular basis!
A lil life update! → I graduated college! 🥳 A lil life update!

→ I graduated college! 🥳 I am officially done with my bachelor’s degree and am so thankful for the opportunity as well as the fact that it’s DONE. I grew so much over the last 3 years and I’m so incredibly grateful.

→ Last week was my final week at Chick-fil-A after working there for 5 years, and I start my new jobs this week! I’ll be doing a mixture of tutoring, nannying, and teaching at a homeschool co-op, and I’m so thankful for how God worked all of it out.

→ 103 days until our wedding!!!

→ We’ve been working hard at our house lately, putting in cabinets, painting, and lots more. We’re thankful and exhausted 😅

All of those updates make my life look so easy and exciting in writing. And like I’ve said many times in this post, I am so thankful! It’s an exciting season! But I have never been so tired, weary, or overwhelmed before. Just wanted to include the reminder that there is so much more to life behind-the-scenes; everyone is struggling with something.

Anyways, any life updates you wanna share with me? I’d love to hear and celebrate or pray with you 🥰
My heart is so heavy. I cannot imagine how any ad My heart is so heavy. I cannot imagine how any administration- Biden or Trump- could think that removing the troops from Afghanistan would actually end well. Like seriously?

I can’t fathom how much fear the Afghan people must feel. Or how much faith the believers have to actually stand firm. Or the weight of crushed dreams and broken promises.

I feel helpless. Hearing that many believers expect to meet Jesus within the next 2 weeks, but sitting here not being able to do anything but pray?

But since that’s all I can do, I will pray.

I’ll pray for the believers in Afghanistan.
I’ll pray for the women and girls in Afghanistan.
I’ll pray for the Taliban to be confused and crushed and blind and destroyed.
I’ll pray for Jesus to intervene.
I’ll pray for the troops that gave so much to watch everything fall apart.

I’ll praise Jesus for the faith that the believers are displaying.
I’ll praise Jesus for the church coming together to pray.

And I’ll search my own heart to see whether I’m living as if I was to meet Jesus face to face in 2 weeks, or whenever He calls me home.
I made Jason take these cheesy pictures with me be I made Jason take these cheesy pictures with me because we bought a house!!! 🥳

This whole home-buying process has been long and at times frustrating, but God has been so faithful. We are so thankful and excited for this new chapter about to begin!

I’m just jealous that Jason gets to move in now and I have to wait until December 😂

It’s been over 4 months since the day Jason proposed, but it’s better late than never, right? If you’d like to read the story, you can find the post at the link in my bio.

If you’re engaged or married, I’d love to hear the story of your proposal in the comments 😍
