Dear anyone going back to school,
Why is it that summer always goes by so quickly? This past summer was one of the best summers of my life, but I don’t even know where it went. Nonetheless, school is starting again, and it’s time to get back on a schedule.
But you know what? We can do this. School is honestly such a blessing, even if you don’t see it that way. So many people across the world long to be able to read, write, and do basic math, but we are able to do so much more than that. Let’s praise God for the ability to learn!
I remember last year there were times I was so overwhelmed by assignments due, essays to be written, and exams to take that I just wanted to give up. Ever been there? I bet you have. But something I’m learning is that things usually aren’t as bad as they seem. Take a deep breath and a step back, and look at the big picture. You’ll eventually get everything done. There’s more to this life than stress, school, and due dates!
“From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
Psalm 61:2
When we’re faithful in the little things, it trains us to be faithful in the big things. So let’s practice our faithfulness in school so that when we go out into the world, we can change it for Jesus. Who’s with me? Let’s do our best and glorify God!
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,”
Colossians 3:23
Whether you’re homeschooled, go to public school, or go to a private school, or are in college, let’s bring glory to God’s name. We can do this!
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:1-2
