Y’all, self care is something that is becoming so important to me (and it’s becoming a growing theme in Christian blogs!).  Jesus lives inside of us, and it is so important to take care of our bodies.  Not only that, but it keeps us from going crazy.  It helps you to reset, recharge, and better serve others.  It’s not selfish when done with a selfless mindset.  What??  Let me explain 😉.  If you are taking care of yourself so that you can take care of others, and also glorify God, then that is selfless.

Self Care Activities

    1. Take a bubble bath (maybe even use a bath bomb!)
    2. Go for a walk or run
    3. Spend some time reading the Bible
    4. Paint while listening to music
    5. Write out everything you need to do and create lists (helps me not go crazy!)
    6. Drink a big cup of water
    7. Make a smoothie
    8. Pick up your room and then spray or diffuse an essential oil blend
    9. Apply a face mask
    10. Light a candle and cozy up with a blanket
    11. Pray while getting something done
    12. Go through your emails, delete trash, and unsubscribe from unwanted lists
    13. Take a Sunday nap
    14. Just stretch
    15. Take a break from social media
    16. Watch your favorite movie or tv show while eating a small treat
    17. Do something you’ve always wanted to do
    18. Eat a big salad
    19. Keep a thankfulness journal
    20. Paint your nails
    21. Get your hair done
    22. Get outside and journal
    23. Take the long way home and jam to your favorite songs
    24. Go to bed early
    25. Do a random act of kindness (it will bless you more than it will them!)
    26. Listen to a podcast
    27. Clean your sheets once a week or once every two weeks
    28. Take care of your skin (wash your face and use moisturizer!)
    29. Visit with a friend
    30. Write out a bucket list
    31. Wear modest clothes that make you feel comfortable
    32. Put on some earrings or a necklace
    33. Don’t over-schedule or over-commit yourself- pray about every decision!
    34. Bake something yummy
    35. Do your favorite workout
