Our baby wasn’t planned. We could have easily Our baby wasn’t planned.

We could have easily decided that we weren’t ready. That we wanted more time to be newlyweds- to see the world, follow our dreams, or become “successful.”

But the thought of ending our baby’s life never crossed our minds.

We knew that he was a life, separate from my body. We didn’t get to determine if he was to live or die. And now feeling him move around in my tummy and kicking his daddy’s hand, it’s never been more apparent that he is a whole human being.

In October when he is born, we will go down to one income and we will have to make sacrifices. But every single one of them will be so worth it because his life is so much more precious than any money we could ever make or material things we could buy. He is worth it.

A little summary of the past few months since we f A little summary of the past few months since we found out we were pregnant 🤍 I just wanted these sweet memories to have a permanent place on my feed. So grateful 🥰
I haven’t shared much recently for 2 reasons: I I haven’t shared much recently for 2 reasons: I haven’t felt good and I was scared that anything I said would come across as complaining.

The truth is, the past few months have been rough. Dealing with nausea and “morning” sickness has taken a toll on me, and while I’m hoping I’m starting to turn a corner, it’s not gone.

But I am SO thankful for this baby and know that all of this will be worth it. It’s just honestly been hard to keep that mindset when in the moment, I just feel so sick.

I’m so grateful that Jesus is patient, kind, and near during all seasons, especially in difficult seasons. Even when I feel like I’m not doing my part or spending enough time with Him, He still loves me.

And I’m grateful for a husband that loves me so well and has served me above and beyond. Not sure I could do it without him.

Anyways, I guess that’s a little life update. I hope you all are enjoying this spring weather!

Run your race, not hers. I was listening to a ser Run your race, not hers.

I was listening to a sermon the other day that was talking about comparison, and it brought up Hebrews 12:1-2. We are to run the race set before us with endurance, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus.

It doesn’t say anything about running anybody else’s race, does it? It tells you to run your race. We can’t do that if we keep looking to the right and to the left or behind us.

Speaking of behind us, remember when Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him 3 times in John 21? Jesus was making sure Peter understood the weight of what it meant to tend His sheep. Jesus even mentioned how Peter would die for the sake of the Gospel. Obviously overwhelmed, Peter looked behind him and asked, “What about John?”

Peter was comparing the calling that Jesus had placed on his life with that of John’s. But Jesus basically said that it didn’t matter what He had planned for John’s life. Peter was to follow Jesus no matter what.

We aren’t supposed to be looking around and comparing our lives and callings with others’. Instead, we are to run OUR race, with our eyes set on Jesus. That is how we will impact our world and bring glory to Jesus 🤍
